KAM Finalise in Salon Business Awards

The finalists for the Salon Business Awards have been announced, and KAM Hair and Body Spa in Lossiemouth has finalised for the Fashion Salon category. The salon was selected as a finalist amongst thousands of other entries and will now compete at the Grand Final on June 10th at The Mondrian Hotel in London.

The Salon Business Awards are arranged by one of the most prestigious hairdressing trade magazines, Salon Business, and the awards recognise only the best talent in the industry from across the UK, which includes stylists, salons and salon groups.

The judging panel for these fiercely contested awards know the industry inside out and include award-winning hairdressers, salon owners and product manufacturers. For Lossiemouth salon, KAM Hair and Body Spa to be handpicked by these judges as one of the six finalists for the Fashion salon category is an incredible achievement – a brand new category introduced by the awards just this year. Each of the finalists in all 14-salon categories is also an automatic finalist for the Salon Business Awards highest accolade – the Ultimate Salon of the Year. Presented to the salon that shines across the board there is an award for a small to medium salon and a large salon, based on the salon’s turnover.

As part of the awards entry, the KAM salon was required to submit an image that best represents the salon brand and explain why. A creative and fashion forward look was submitted for this and being awarded for the salons imagery is not something unknown to them, as Karen Thomson, owner of the salon, is the current Scottish Hairdresser of the Year, which she was awarded at the British Hairdressing Awards for her incredible hair imagery.

It means so much that Salon Business have chose us as a finalist for the Fashion Salon category in the awards, as we regularly work backstage at London Fashion Week and try to be ahead in industry in regards to fashion as much as possible.
