Project X Gets Razor Sharp with Angelo Vallillo

Angelo Vallillo is the latest Fellowship member to volunteer his time to the Project X team, opening up the doors of his new salon, DNA Artspace, for a day of mentoring and education.

DNA Artspace in Nottingham is a new multi-functional space, that brings together a collaborative community of creatives – including artists, musicians and DJs, as well as Angelo and his business partner, Dale. This inspiring spot was the destination for the Project X team this week, as they headed up to see Angelo demonstrate razor cutting in a hands-on seminar. In his ‘Cutting with the Blade’ education session, Angelo showcased the technique to the team in a detailed demonstration, before it was time to get hands on.

I love the fact that I’m always learning and updating my knowledge as part of Project X. Angelo was a brilliant teacher and a lovely person and his salon is so cool. We learnt to cut a bob using a blade, which was a great technique which I will be taking back and using in the salon!
