Share

The West Midlands Salon Awards took place at the Crowne Plaza, Birmingham where the winners for 2019 were revealed.

The Salon Awards celebrate the talented hair professionals for individual, business and team accomplishments. Co-hosted by Kate Jeffery and Errol Douglas MBE, guests arrived to a sparkling cocktail reception with canapés, treated to some amazing entertainment and enjoyed a three-course dinner before the winners were announced.

Kate Jeffery, Salon Awards Director, said,

The second stop for 2019 on the Salon Awards calendar was a great success, and the enthusiasm and support from everyone has been amazing. I started these awards to be able to give all salons and hair professionals the chance to compete for an industry award, and do something great for themselves or their business. When have salons competing, and winning, who are located in some of the most deprived areas of the country, it makes a real difference. This for me underlines how important offering this opportunity is, not only for the industry, but to those who make it what it is.

The West Midlands Salon Awards is the second event of the 2019 season, and follows the great success of 2018 in Essex, Hampshire, Yorkshire and Sussex. Three new counties were added for 2019, Surrey, West Midlands and Hertfordshire, taking the total to seven Salon Awards events. Over the course of the next six weeks we will see more than 1,200 hairdressers, barbers and salon owners in attendance. These awards have quickly established themselves as an integral part of the salon marketing recipe that is driving customers through the door.

The Salon Awards are supported by sponsors Great Lengths, Clean IT and Barry Jeffery Photography, and entries are judged by a panel of hair industry professionals, business gurus, and prolific business owners alike, including Errol Douglas MBE, David Drew, Karine Jackson, Carolyn Newman and Craig Chapman to name a few. The Salon Awards ethos is to provide a fair and accessible competition for all.
